To thank our fundraising walkers for their efforts in supporting Kids Help Phone, a wide range of rewards are given to individual walkers and teams.
This year, gift cards will be mailed after the event. If you are eligible for this reward (for individuals who have raised $250+ or teams who have raised $500+) please note that gift cards will not be distributed at registration. Although Kids Help Phone receives a discount, there is still a cost for incentive rewards. In an effort to be more efficient, all gift cards will be mailed after the event in order to maximize our discount and not incur the cost of overstock. You can expect to receive them before the end of June.
Individual Fundraising Rewards
If you raise $100 or more as an individual (by asking your network to donate), you qualify for a reward* and will be recognized on Walk day by earning a badge as outlined in the chart below.

All teams that raise funds through group activities (e.g. bake sales, jean days, etc.) qualify for team prizing as outlined in the chart below.**

** Team fundraising rewards cannot be given for funds team members raise as individuals.
NOTES: All donations must be received on or before May 31, 2017 to be eligible for individual or team fundraising rewards. Rewards will be given based on total fundraising amount submitted (i.e. donations raised both online and in person).
You may receive an official tax receipt for the value of your reward if you raise $250 or more and decide to donate your fundraising reward back to Kids Help Phone. Please let us know on event day if you would like to do this.
A reminder of the impact of your fundraising:
- $100 — connect a child being bullied to a caring counsellor by phone for 30 mins.
- $500 — will give a young person in crisis all the time they need with a counsellor. Crisis calls can last over two hours.
- $1,000 — will contribute to our extensive online resources, like the Safety Planner or Coming Out Stories.
